Senior lecturer at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Ayodele Isaac Ojediran, reportedly slumped and passed away in his office on Tuesday.
Sadly, Ojediran did not survive the hasty trip to the university’s clinic following his collapse.
In a post on his Facebook page, the deceased’s close colleague Ayodeji Obisesan confirmed the incident, writing, “Such a very humble and nice man to the core.” Constantly ready to assist. God will grant the strength to endure this immense loss for us—your coworkers, associates, students, friends, and family. I pray that Dr. Ojediran Isaac Ayodele finds eternal peace.
The incident was described as extremely sad by the school’s public relations officer, Abiodun Olarewaju, which is why the school decided against making an official statement.
