A 50-year-old woman has been arrested by men of the Bauchi State Police Command for allegedly killing her co-wife in Bauchi.
This was confirmed in a statement issued to newsmen on Friday by the Bauchi State Police Command Spokesman, Ahmed Wakil, noting that the suspect, identified as Amina Guguwa of Miya Village, Warji Local Government Area, strangled her co-wife, 60-year-old Amina Koli, following a physical confrontation on January 1, 2023.
According to Wakil, “Amina Guguwa, the suspect, criminally used force on the victim by strangling her neck tightly and as a result she died on the spot.”
“On receiving the report, a team of detectives were drafted and rushed to the scene, and they evacuated the victim to the General Hospital, Ganjuwa for a post-mortem examination, where she was certified dead by a medical doctor”.
He added that an investigation is ongoing, after which the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.
