President Bola Tinubu has been warned by Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church to be wary of ex-Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai over his alleged anti-Christian remarks in the northwest state and support for Muslims.

According to The Tribune, El-Rufai was quoted as defending the decision to allow Muslims to hold some relevant positions in Kaduna state, adding that they played key roles in the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s victory in the state.

Primate Ayodele accuses El-Rufai of masterminding the APC Muslim-Muslim ticket. In his response, the cleric warned that the former governor’s “careless statement” could spark a religious war in the country if he is not warned.
The religious leader accused the APC leader of being the brains behind the ruling party’s Muslim-Muslim ticket in the 2023 presidential election and of being the root of the religious crisis in Southern Kaduna.

Ayodele then warned President Tinubu not to give ex-Governor El-Rufai any positions in his administration in order to prevent Nigeria from imploding.
Tinubu is informed by Primate Ayodele that El-Rufai is untrustworthy. ”El-Rufai should not be trusted,” he says in part. The election in Kaduna was rigged in favour of his candidate, and God will take it away from him.

” Remember that El-Rufai was a popular Tinubu presidential campaigner during the 2023 presidential electioneering? Earlier, it was reported that Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State had been challenged to disclose his position on the alleged Islamization of Kaduna politics by former governor Nasir El-Rufai. According to a letter from the state’s Catholic priests, the religious leaders issued a challenge to the APC’s new governor.

The letter is in response to a viral video in which El-Rufai was seen speaking in Hausa to some Muslim groups about how religion influenced the 2023 presidential election.
