Unknown gunmen invaded Gandu, a community near the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), killing one person and kidnapping an unknown number of locals to an unknown location.
The event occurred late Monday night, according to reports.
Because of its proximity to the university’s permanent location, Gandu houses both faculty and students.

As a result, there is a high concentration of students and university personnel in the region.
As of the time of reporting this article, the victims of the incident had yet to be identified.
Security forces have been sent to the region in reaction to the incident to ensure the safety and protection of inhabitants’ lives and property.
