The Senate announced on Wednesday that it will wait until January to respond to President Muhammadu Buhari’s refusal to sign the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill.

It claimed that the move would allow it to consult with the House of Representatives, which is currently on recess, and solicit feedback from constituents.
The closed-door meeting, which began around 10.36 a.m., ended at 11:14 a.m.
