Breaking: Tribunal declares PDP’s Natasha Akpoti winner of Kogi central senatorial poll
The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has been proclaimed the victor of the Kogi Central Senatorial election held on February 25, 2023 by the election petition tribunal located in Lokoja, Kogi State.
The tribunal’s chief justice, Justice K.A. Orjiakoin, reportedly made the decision on June 8, 2023.

He claimed that Akpoti-Uduaghan received 54,064 votes in total, defeating Abubakar Sadiku-Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 51,291 votes.
The panel also mandated that Sadiku-Ohere reimburse Akpoti-Uduaghan for the petition’s expenses, which came to N500,000.
