When visiting the troops, the Army and Air Force Chiefs expect coordination.
Army Chief of Staff Major General Taoreed Lagbaja and Chief of the Air Staff Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar are calling on soldiers in the various theatres of operations to cooperate with other security organisations.
They recognised the sacrifices made by the soldiers and their families, particularly the deceased and injured, to uphold peace and security in Nigeria.
Wednesday’s joint Eid-El-Kabir celebration for the troops in Maiduguri featured speeches from the service chiefs.
Abubakar credited the recent operational victories to the combined efforts of the air force and land troops, and he urged them to do more, according to a statement released on Thursday by the Nigerian Air Force’s spokeswoman, Air Commodore Ayodele Famuyiwa.

Abubakar credited the recent operational achievements to the joint efforts of the air and surface forces, which, he observed, would not have been possible without the dedication, sacrifices, and devotion of the soldiers and their families.
In order to ensure that the synergy cascades down to the tactical level of operations, he advised the troops to properly coordinate, collaborate, and cooperate in future efforts.
Maintaining a high degree of efficacy and efficiency in the frontline while separated from your loved ones during holiday seasons like this clearly proves your nobility of putting Service above self.
On the other hand, he was grateful to the soldiers’ families for providing the vital assistance essential to keep the frontline soldiers’ motivation and morale high.
Abubakar said that his travel to the theatre to rejoice with the troops along with his army counterpart was a sign of the improved coordination that will soon be instilled into future operations.
