GOVERNOR Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has urged his Imo State counterpart, Hope Uzodinma, not to politicize the death of former Adamawa House of Assembly Speaker, Ahmed Gulak.

Gulak was murdered yesterday in Owerri, the Imo State capital on his way to the airport.

In reaction earlier today, Uzodinma said the killing of the All Progressives Congress’ chieftain is a clear case of political assassination.

But speaking in an interview on Channels TV this evening, Wike said it was too early for the Imo governor to draw such a conclusion.

The Rivers governor said Uzodinma should have exercised patience and allow the security agencies to do the job for which they were established.

“We should not try to politicize everything,” he said.

” I think that the governor of Imo State, my brother Hope Uzodinma should allow the security agencies to do their proper investigation for it is too early now for him to come out to say it is a political assassination.

“Having done that means that you already know those who committed the crime and that will not be fair. When things of this nature happen, allow the security agencies to really go into the matter and then say look, from our investigations, this is what we found out,” Wike stated.
