Driver, conductor die as truck crashes in Anambra

A lone accident at Azia Junction, on Owerri-Ihiala Expressway in Ihiala Native Authorities Space of Anambra, has claimed the lives of a truck driver and his conductor.

The Sector Commander of the Federal Street Security Corps (FRSC) in Anambra, Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi, who confirmed the accident to the Information Company of Nigeria (NAN), in Awka, mentioned it occured on Friday.

Irelewuyi mentioned that the possible reason for the accident was rushing and lack of management.

He mentioned that the crash concerned an unidentified business driver of a Mercedes truck with registration quantity XD131NSH.

“In accordance with eyewitnesses, the motive force was on pace, misplaced management of the car, rammed into an enormous gutter by the roadside and crashed.

“A complete of two male adults, together with the motive force and conductor, had been concerned within the crash. Each of them had been killed.

“The useless victims had been taken to Our Woman of Lourdes Hospital Mortuary, Ihiala by good Samaritans earlier than the arrival of FRSC rescue group.
