Ondo State Police Command reported the arrest of a guy named only as Oke Loya on Thursday for the alleged murder of a youngster named Timibra Meretighan at the Arogbo community in the Ese Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Last Monday, the suspect entered the building and began chasing the 17-year-old student and his classmates out of the classroom where they were taking an exam at the Ijaw National High School in the state’s Arogbo region.

A source claimed that the culprit reportedly strangled the 17-year-old student while chasing the students out of the classroom.

After the event, the school’s principal reportedly hurried to the police station to file a report.

When contacted, Funmilayo Odunlami, the state police public relations officer, verified the suspect’s detention and stated that an investigation had started.

“On Monday, the Ijaw National High School principal came to the station and stated that one Oke Loya, 27, who took shelter at the school security gate during the rain, strangled one Meretighan Timibra, 17, of Arogbo Ibe,” said Odunlami.
