A pioneer member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) National Caucus, Chief Sam Nkire, has advised all governors to borrow a leaf from the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, in paying teachers, civil servants and pensioners before any political appointee, including the governor and his deputy.
In his Easter message titled âReflection At Easterâ, Chief Nkire who was also the pioneer leader of Abia State APC Caucus, reminded all governors of the Biblical injunction which says that a worker deserves his wage, adding, âpayments of salaries and pensions could not be more needed to the worker and pensioner than nowâ.
The elder statesman said Dr Alex Otti was certainly raising the bar and playing what he described as âcome and get meâ among his peers and others, thereby making the challenge to his seat in 2027 a herculean one.
He also called on Nigerians to use the period of Easter to pray for the country and the world, against insecurity, wars, hunger and manâs inhumanity to man, as according to him, all people of the world must rest in the love and power of God to salvage bad situations.
