A 24-year-old, Future Paul, has been arrested by the Edo State Police Command for allegedly impersonating the Kaduna State Authorities to defraud unsuspecting members of the general public.
reporter studies that the Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, disclosed this to newsmen on Monday in Benin Metropolis.
Nwabuzor mentioned the suspect was arrested by the operatives of the anti-kidnapping and cyber crime unit of the Command whereas performing on a petition from the Pressure Headquarters.
He mentioned the suspect was arrested via technical intelligence alongside Ubiaja-Uromi street in Edo State.
In line with him, the petition said {that a} fraudster from Edo State was impersonating the Kaduna State Authorities and defrauding unsuspecting members of the general public.
He mentioned the suspect was geo-located to the Edo State Police Command’s jurisdiction.
The Command’s picture maker mentioned the suspect confessed to utilizing Kaduna State Authorities profile to defraud folks.
He defined that the officers connected to Pressure Headquarters have been contacted and are main an investigative staff from Kaduna to Edo State.
Nwabuzor added that the suspect can be handed over to the staff from Abuja.
