One of the leading candidates in the ongoing gubernatorial election in Edo state, Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has cast his vote.
Okpebholo voted at polling unit 1, Ward 2, located at Udomi Primary School in Udomi, Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area.
The APC candidate praised the electoral process, calling it “well-coordinated” and commending the efficiency of the electoral officials in his ward.
Security personnel were on hand to ensure a peaceful voting environment at the polling station. According to reports, electoral officers and materials arrived on time, allowing the exercise to commence smoothly.
The much-anticipated Edo State gubernatorial elections has drawn significant attention, with over 2.2 million permanent voter cards collected ahead of the vote, and residents turning out to determine the state’s next governor.
