EFCC duties NYSC members on combat in opposition to corruption

The Govt Chairman of the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee, EFCC, Mr Ola Olukoyede has referred to as on members of the Nationwide Youth Service Corps, NYSC, to hitch within the combat in opposition to corruption.

Olukoyede, who spoke by means of the Head of Public Affairs, Kano Zonal Command, Idris Isiyaku, on Thursday, made the decision whereas addressing Corps members of 2024 Batch A, Stream 1 on the NYSC orientation camp in Kano.

He suggested the youths to be extra resourceful, modern and enterprising to defeat the monster of corruption and speed up financial growth in Nigeria.

Olukayode stated, “The message of the EFCC to you this morning is to start to look inward and problem your inventive talents to convey up concepts, views, and drives that may develop the economic system.

“Each problem round us at present could be traced to the implications of corruption. The rising troubles of unemployment, insecurity, poverty, ailments, low life expectancy, starvation, theft, kidnapping and others are the outcomes of misplacement of our sources by these entrusted with them.

He pressured that financial and monetary crimes immediately put the fortunes of the economic system and the polity of the nation in jeopardy.

On the NYSC orientation camp in Oyo State, Ola Olukayode represented by the Deputy Superintendent of the EFCC, DSE Egbodofo Olumide charged corps members to be dynamic and efficient in driving the anti-corruption combat of their locations of major assignments.

He stated, “A technique of doing that is by mobilising Nigerians in opposition to corrupt practices by means of sturdy public campaigns and sensitisation.

“You’re the leaders of tomorrow and this nation belongs to all of us. I urge you all to say no to all types of financial and monetary crimes in order that the nation could be higher for all of us.”

The EFCC Chairman gave the identical cost in Kwara, Enugu, Lagos and different states, advising corps members in opposition to web crimes, stating that it isn’t a sustainable lifestyle.
