Nasir el-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna, has declared that he will decline any offer from Bola Tinubu’s administration to serve as the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

This was said by El-Rufai on Tuesday in Abuja during a policy discussion and book launch.

Under President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration, he was the FCT minister and was well known for demolishing illegitimate buildings.

The governor asserts that he will never “repeat class” and says he has “young people” he can suggest for the position.

“Even if invited, I won’t travel to Abuja. I never repeat classes, and I can recommend a lot of young individuals who would perform far better than I did.

“This is too old for me. I’m too old for demolition; find a young man or lady with blood in their veins, El-Rufai remarked.
