Governor Nasir El-Rufai who tweeted yesterday despite suspension of Twitter operations in Nigeria is currently out of the country, his spokesman Muyiwa Adekeye has said.
Recall that El-Rufai tweeted at about 09:37pm after Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami had ordered that Nigerians still using Twitter be prosecuted.

Malami’s order came after it was observed that many Nigerians still access Twitter through the use of virtual private networks (VPNs).
However, according to Qed.ng, El-Rufai was out of the country and did not need to use VPN.
“Thought to let you know that he is not in the country. He does not require VPN to use any app where he is,” Adekeye said.
