Fed High Court imprisons three vandals for six months

On Tuesday, three vandals were given six months in prison by a Federal High Court located in Dutse, Jigawa State.

In March 2023, as the criminals were breaking into solar security lights in Gujungu town, Taura local government, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) agents apprehended them.

Judge Hassan Dikko of the Dutse Division of the Federal High Court, Jigawa State, arraigned Kabiru M. Musa, Umar Adam Abdullahi, and Shafi’u Hamza, among the others, who had been taken into custody.

The two charges against them were criminal conspiracy and tampering with electric fittings (two ROY 12V/150Ah solar batteries and charge controller), which they were arraigned before the Federal Higher Court.

According to Section 1(10) of the Miscellaneous Offenses Act and Section 97 of the Penal Code, the crime is committed.

On all counts, the defendants entered a guilty plea.

Following their conviction, they were given a six-month prison sentence without the possibility of a fine by the presiding court, Justice Dikko.

Reinstalling the modified properties was another command he gave them.
