Epe Ogunmodede Club, a social organisation in Lagos, has urged the legislators who represent Epe Local Government to do their jobs well and meritoriously represent the interests of the people.
In a statement recently released on behalf of the social club to the elected representatives, the club’s president, Omodele Ibrahim, made the appeal.
Ibrahim urged them to make the most of the political mandate granted to them by the citizens of Epe Constituency I, Lagos Mainland II, and the Lagos East Senatorial District to change lives and improve their districts and constituencies.
“Their voters chose them to represent them and provide for their needs in a diligent, honest, and superior manner. A free political mandate that carries significant accountability and responsibility has been given to them. They must not disregard or abuse this mandate for their own personal gain. In their districts and constituencies, they must use it to improve people’s lives.
The party’s guiding principles and values—justice, equity, progress, and unity—must serve as their guide. They must remain devoted to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, our leader, who has given so much to advance the advancement of Lagos State and Nigeria.
Ibrahim emphasised the value of open communication with their constituents, actively listening to their concerns, and working to address them. He also stressed the importance of transparency, accountability, and empathy.
