Super Eagles forward, Odion Jude Ighalo says he is opened to playing in the Nigerian Professional Football League if the league improves in certain areas.

The 34-year-old striker said he would play in the local league for about a year if security is guaranteed with good coverage and good officiating.

He said he would render his services to a NPFL club for free if the conditions are met.

“If security is guaranteed, good coverage and good referees, I can play for six months or a year for free,” Ighalo said via Elegbete TV.

DAILY POST recalls that Ighalo earlier this month severed ties with Saudi Arabia Professional Football League club, Al Hilal following the expiration of his contract.

The former Watford player is available in the transfer market this summer as a free agent.
