In Kaduna, EFCC captures 16 suspected internet scammers

Sixteen (16) alleged online fraudsters have been detained by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) Kaduna Zonal Command at the Fifth Chucker Polo Club in Marabban Jos, Kaduna, Kaduna state.

In a statement, the EFCC claimed that they were taken into custody on Thursday, December 27, 2023, in response to actionable intelligence regarding their alleged involvement in crimes relating to the internet.

Twelve people are under suspicion: Bello Abiodun, Abraham Adama, Shedrack Bisola, Friday Markus, Ransom Joash Destiny, Joshua Winner, Samuel Shehu, John Daniel, and Christian Righteous. Of these, thirteen are men and three are women.

Godwin Dikko, Ogochukwu Ijeh, Bilbert Sabo, Akosa Joshua, Joy Righteous, Precious Yohanna, and Samuel Ruth are the others.

Mobile phones and laptops have been found from them.

As soon as the investigations are over, they will be charged in court.
