The Supreme Court’s ruling regarding the Kano State gubernatorial election has been examined, according to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the party, efforts are being made to establish a robust path that would bring its members together and embrace newcomers.

Recall that on Friday, the Supreme Court upheld Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf’s election victory.

Judges led by Inyang Okoro unanimously restored his prior victory from the March 2023 poll, which had been invalidated by the two lower courts.

On the basis of claims of irregularities during the contentious March 2023 election, the governor was first removed from office by two lower courts, whose verdicts were later overturned by the Supreme Court.

The APC National Chairman’s Chief of Staff, Mallam Muhammad Garba, signed a communiqué in which the party expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering support and commitment to Kano State and the APC family.

The party recognized his dedication to the advancement and growth of the party in the state and the nation at large.

Speaking on the party’s behalf, Mallam Muhammad Garba said that the stakeholders’ meeting had decided to maintain the APC in Kano open to hundreds of willing new members.

He continued by saying that because of the party’s strong leadership and its commitments, the party is actively looking to gain new members on both a group and individual basis.

According to Garba, the gathering also decided to call a large-scale stakeholders’ conference in Kano to plan how to better unite the party for improved development.

“Members of the party were also commended for their maturity, patience, and support throughout the legal battle,” he stated. “The meeting also called on them to remain calm and await the outcome of the expanded stakeholders meeting scheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2024.”

Selected Kano APC stakeholders attended the meeting, which was led by the national chairman of the party.
