Katsina lifts ban on telecoms services
The Katsina State Government says it has lifted the ban on mobile telecommunications network services in the state.
The Special Adviser to Governor Aminu Masari on Security Matters, Ibrahim Ahmed Katsina, said the state lifted the ban in response to calls of the citizens regarding the ban.
“The governor has written to the Minister of Communications informing him of the decision. It is therefore left to the service providers to restore their services,” he said.
Katsina said the affected areas had started witnessing relative peace.
“As I speak to you, network has been restored in some local government areas and the restoration followed the success recorded as a result of the ban and there is need for people to return to normal life,” he said.
