The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidates for Lokoja I and II State Constituencies in the last general election, Hon Ahmed Shehu Yabagi and Hon. Ishaiku Kashim Musa, have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the November governorship election.
Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Governor of Kogi State, welcomed them.
Governor Bello expressed delight at the politicians’ decision to join the ruling party.
He insisted that his administration respects and values ability, not necessarily who has been in the ruling party for a long time.
He urged the politicians to use their wealth of experience to their advantage, while also encouraging their supporters to work tirelessly for the party’s victory.
