Lagos State Government declares some roads temporarily closed for three days
The Lagos State Government has declared the entrance into CMD Road and the Access Road to Isheri-Olowora on the Shagamu bound carriageway temporarily closed for three days.
According to a statement posted on the LASG’s official Instagram page on Tuesday, the roads would be stopped so that workers could “lay the final wearing course,” which would start on August 9, 2023.
The Lagos State Government has announced the temporary closure of the entrance into CMD Road and the Access Road to Isheri-Olowora on the Shagamu bound carriageway. This announcement is in accordance with the Federal Government’s project to build the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The CMD entrance will be closed for three days starting on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 for the laying of the final wearing course, and the Access Road to Isheri-Olowora on the Shagamu bound carriageway, by the pedestrian bridge at Berger bus stop, will be closed for the same amount of time starting on Thursday, August 10, 2023. Preparatory work will start on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
“The following traffic management strategy has been designated for use while the construction is taking place. All expressway traffic traveling to CMD Road will have the following alternate routes starting on Thursday, August 10, 2023:
i. After passing the FMW weighbridge, drivers on Ojota Interchange will connect to CMD Road through the access road to continue their trips.
ii. Bypassing Otedola Estate, drivers on Dr. Nurudeen Olowopopo would connect to CMD road.
Isheri-Olowora-bound drivers will use the next exit near New Garage to connect to Isheri-Olowora. They will exit the highway by the access before the Pedestrian Bridge at the Berger bus stop.
The Traffic Management Personnel sent to direct motorists to their destinations is instructed to work with them.
