The Lagos State Visitors Administration Authority, LASTMA, says it impounded 123 automobiles over unlawful parking round bridges throughout Lagos Island.
The Common Supervisor of LASTMA, Mr Olalekan Bakare-Oki disclosed this in an announcement issued on Wednesday by Mr Adebayo Taofiq, Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Division of LASTMA.
Babare-Oki stated that the arrest was in continuation of a basic enforcement operation to ease site visitors throughout the state.
The LASTMA boss, who led the mixed enforcement crew with safety operatives, stated the train was carried out primarily based on the directive of the Particular Adviser to the governor on Transportation, Mr Sola Giwa.

Bakare-Oki confirmed that the 123 automobiles had been impounded round Ebute-Ero by Idumota Bridge, Apongbon underneath Bridge, Simpson Bridge and Elegbata space of Lagos Island.

“We are going to proceed to make sure free movement of site visitors by scaling up our enforcement and clampdown on these cussed personal and industrial bus drivers.
“In the meantime, 19 infamous hoodlums had been arrested over unlawful assortment of parking dues from harmless motorists,” he stated.
