Governors chosen on the platform of the All Progressives Congress have been congratulated by President Bola Tinubu, who also urged them to fight for the welfare of all Nigerians.
He begged them to put into effect policies that put the interests of all Nigerians first and to always put the country’s interests ahead of party affiliations.
This was revealed by Tinubu on Friday through a statement posted on his Facebook page and signed by Ajuri Ngelale, his Special Advisor on Media and Publicity.
He announced that the nation’s whole financial system would be redesigned with inclusion, efficacy, and efficiency in mind.
Additionally, he requested that the governors create a structure that would improve the school-feeding program’s effectiveness throughout all of the federation’s states, taking into account the unique characteristics of each community while aiming to enroll every kid in school.
The President stated that inclusiveness, ownership, and sustainability are necessary for government programs to fully find their place in people’s lives at his reception of Progressive Governors Forum members on Friday at the State House in Abuja.
According to the statement, Tinubu informed the governors that while division is one of the nation’s greatest problems, the governing party must seek to mend and unite the nation by guaranteeing a shared national vision.

According to the President, Nigeria is too endowed with natural, human, and financial resources to be experiencing a shortage of first-rate infrastructure, top-notch healthcare facilities, and high-quality education.
“We have no reason to be poor. Looking back on where we are coming from, where we have been, why we are confronting infrastructural ruin, a lack of quality and complete education, as well as a shortage of health facilities. Our nation is blessed, not condemned.
Our school-age children are not enrolled in school. Including all governors—including those from the opposition—in the school feeding program is one method to advance education. Please give it your full attention.
“The kids shouldn’t be treated like statistics. Their return to the classroom should be our yardstick for success. Economic growth ought to be measured in terms of empowerment and value. A committee should be formed to investigate the procedures. I’m prepared to spend money on school lunches.
The former governor of Kano State and APC chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, stated that the school-feeding program will promote increased investments in agriculture, particularly in cattle farming and dairy. He also mentioned that Ganduje had already worked on a proposal that would be submitted for feedback and implementation.
