THE Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami,  has deactivated his Twitter account.

Malami took to his Facebook page yesterday to announce the development.

This was after the Federal Government suspended all Twitter operations in the country, following the decision of the social media platform to delete a tweet on President Muhammad Buhari’s handle citing genocidal violence against people of the South-east region, a move that didn’t go well with the government.

The AGF therefore ordered the immediate arrest and prosecution of any Nigerian still using the micro-blogging website.

It appears as though Malami used  VPN as there were no other means of accessing the social media platform.

Recall that the Minister of Justice had warned that Nigerians still accessing the social platform would be prosecuted.
