Senator Kabir Garba Marafa, the Zamfara State Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is putting machinery in place to strengthen the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) reward system.
Marafa stated that with Tinubu at the helm of the country’s affairs, the era of’monkey de work baboon de chop’ is over, emphasizing that those who genuinely worked for Tinubu’s victory in the February 28 election would be rewarded.
There are concerns within the APC that long-standing members who have worked hard for the party are not rewarded, while newcomers are given lucrative positions in government.
But, speaking to Zamfara State members of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja on Wednesday night, Marafa said Tinubu appreciates their contributions and will reward them for helping him win the election.

The gathering was held to thank God for Tinubu’s victory and successful inauguration last Monday.
Hundreds of Zamfara PCC members, including women and youths, from the state’s 14 LGAs attended the event.
Tinubu won Zamfara in the presidential election, but the ruling party lost the governorship election.
Marafa, on the other hand, blamed the APC’s defeat in the Zamfara State governorship election on hypocrisy and anti-party activities by some chieftains, claiming that President Tinubu knows who worked against him in the state.
“I am not good at sycophancy and hypocrisy, but Mr President appreciates me; he obliged me immediately when the issue of inauguration came up,” he said. Some would say that he has begun.
“We were assigned to pilot these activities in our respective states. The PCC central mandated that we have a state coordinator, three zonal coordinators, 14 local government coordinators, 147 ward coordinators, and over 3,500 polling unit coordinators, and we gathered all these personalities and worked tirelessly day and night, and now it’s time for the inauguration, and we haven’t received any invitation from our people.
“Mr President said to Marafa, go and represent me, call them, thank them for me, and let’s get started.”
“Mr. President stated that he intends to keep his promise to change the government’s reward system, and I am confident that he will do so.” Mr. President values you, Zamfara’s good people.
“Politics is about people, not about inclusion.” So what we accomplished in Zamfara was a team effort by all of you. We all came together to deliver. We thank God because we were given a task and completed it successfully. It is God, not us. We are grateful to God for making it possible for all of us.
“Pity is reserved for those who did not try at all, while sympathy is reserved for those who tried but failed.” Failure is a necessary component of success; without it, you cannot succeed. We’ve learned a lot as a result of this. We appreciate those who agree with us.
“I am grateful to God for the mercy he has shown us because we have won before, again, and again.” So, if we lose now, what’s the big deal? You can’t tell who is good until you compare them.
“Some people were given an assignment and failed miserably; we were given an assignment and triumphantly delivered, so we thank God for his mercies upon us.” I can assure you that the president is thinking about Zamfara, despite the fact that he is president of the entire country, not just Zamfara.
“We told him everything; he is aware of the anti-party activity in Zamfara State.” And he assured us that the day’s monkey dey work, baboon dey chop’ was behind us.
“I thank God, because even my enemies attest to the fact that I am not a hypocrite and that I do not lie, and I thank God for that.”
“I’m not a member of any ‘club’ except the women’s club.” They made up a sizable proportion of my voters, and I will always appreciate and identify with women.

“Everyone knows who the hypocrites are. How did we lose the state governor’s race? Simply put, it is the actions of hypocrites.
“Since the president’s visit to Zamfara State, we have seen signs of hypocrisy.” That’s when we noticed the cracks.
“Thank God, we were able to identify and stop them, and as a result, our president won by a wide margin.” God be praised.”
Several party leaders who spoke at the event praised the virtues of Zamfara State’s immediate past governor, Bello Matawalle, and expressed hope that the party will reclaim the state in court.
They also prayed for Tinubu’s administration’s success, saying that by God’s grace, the country’s challenges would be addressed.
