In the past six months, the Federal Government has added 45 additional aircraft to the Nigerian Air Force, according to Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff.

Abubakar revealed this information on Tuesday in Katsina.

Abubakar visited the 213 Forward Operating Base in the state that has been impacted by bandit activity, as well as the frontline troops of the air component of Operation Hadarin Daji, to celebrate Christmas and share lunch.

The Chief of Air Staff listed four-diamond, 62 multifunctional, two T129 attack helicopters, and one Beechcraft 360 aircraft as the military aircraft in his statement.

He claims that there are still two Kasa 295 medium airlift surveillance aircraft, twelve AH10 assault helicopters, and twenty-four M346 attack aircraft out for grabs.

According to him, every procurement shows how deeply committed the Federal Government is to providing the Nigerian Air Force with the tools it needs to safely perform training and address the security threats facing the country.

He praised the military’s recent efforts to conduct successful operations in the area and prayed for the souls of the dead warriors who gave their all to defend their nation.

“We will keep giving the troops all the logistics and support they need to make sure their operations are successful,” Abubakar declared.
