Native doctor, 2 others arrested over killing of student in Edo

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested a 26-year-old native doctor, Chukwuyem Jonah, and two others over the alleged killing of Miss Faith Omodon, a 200-level student of Delta State University, Agbor, Delta State.

The deceased was declared missing on April 4 in the Iru Egbede community, Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State, after she went to the farm and never returned.

Parading the native doctor, his accomplices, and 11 other suspects, Commissioner of Police, Funsho Adegboye gave the names of the native doctor’s accomplices as Godspower Chukwuedo, 23, and Christopher Nwachukwu, 22.

Meanwhile, the father of the deceased, Edward Omodon, described the incident as unfortunate.

“I know Chukwuyem Jonah very well; we stayed together. I see him every day,” he said.

“I want justice. I want them to pay for the killing of my daughter. I don’t want my daughter to die like that without any action from the government,” he added.
