A little over two years after the completion of the international terminal at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, the facility is already in ruins.
Recall that on October 1st 2018, President Muhammadu Buhari commissioned the terminal constructed by the China Civil Engineering and Construction Co. (CCECC).
The facility, hailed as the largest in West Africa, was described as a world-class designed to handle 15 million passengers annually, opening more convenient air routes and contribute immensely to the economic and infrastructure development of Nigeria.
The terminal, the second in a series of four new terminal projects in Nigeria, was constructed in partnership with the Chinese government.
However, fast forward to March 2021, the facility appears to be at a disgusting level.
According to an eyewitness, the terminal leaks water.
Our source revealed that airport authorities had to use buckets to stop it from flooding the ground.
Efforts to reach the managers of the facility has proved abortive.
