In response to the Nigerian Army’s bombing of the Tudun Biri hamlet in the Igabi local government area, people in Zaria, Kaduna State, are registering their grievances through continuous protests.
According to pictures that were seen, the demonstrators marched through the town while holding placards that said things like “Justice for Arewa,” “Justice for Igabi,” and “Secure North.”
In one of the bloodiest accidental military bombings in the nation’s history, the Nigerian Army carried out airstrikes at Tudun Biri hamlet, resulting in the confirmation of almost 120 deaths.
As representatives of Amnesty International visited the impacted communities and verified the rise in the death toll, survivors of the unintentional bombing of Tudun Biri in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State HAD on Tuesday said they had been bombed twice by the Nigerian Army.

As previously reported, Halima Suleiman, the National Emergency Management Agency’s (NEMA) zonal spokesman for the North-West, confirmed 85 deaths on Monday, adding that 66 more victims were injured in Sunday’s attack and that the hunt for more casualties was still ongoing.
She said that following the victims’ Monday funeral, the local authorities provided the death toll.
According to information provided by the local authorities, 85 deceased remains have been buried thus far, and the search is still ongoing, according to NEMA’s Northwest Zonal Office.
To get to the village, emergency personnel were still attempting to defuse tensions with local authorities.
After the army admitted that one of its drones had inadvertently struck Tudun Biri hamlet as its residents were celebrating a Muslim festival, President Bola Tinubu had on Tuesday ordered a probe.
The army withheld its death toll, although locals reported that 85 people—many of them women and children—had perished in the incident.
The presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, released a statement in which she said, “President Tinubu describes the incident as very unfortunate, disturbing, and painful, expressing indignation and grief over the tragic loss of Nigerian lives.”
