The President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Prof (Dr) IAO Ujah, FNMA, FNAmed, mni has just received his first jab of the Astrazeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
The President, who received the vaccine at the National Hospital, Abuja was warmly received by the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital & Chairman, Committee of CMDs, Dr Jaf Momoh,the Director of Administration, NHA, Barr Peter Egwakhide and the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC),NHA.
Those in the President ‘s entourage were Dr Idris Liman, Dr Regina Morgan, Dr Nankling Lamu and Mazi Emeka Akpa.
After receiving the vaccine, the President called on all Nigerians to avail themselves of the opportunity to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by visiting the designated Health Facilities.
He also called on Nigerians to continue observing all COVID-19 prevention protocols as outlined by the Nigerian Centers for Disease Control (NCDC).
