Alex Otti, Governor of Abia State, praised the free medical outreach organised by the Joseph and Sinach Foundation in collaboration with Emzol Pharmaceutical Services at the College of Health Science Management Technology in Aba.

Otti expressed gratitude to the sponsors for accepting the philanthropic responsibility of providing free medical services to the people, saying, “This is what life is all about.” When God blesses you, it is more or less obligatory for you to bless others.”

“I am pleased to see such a large crowd at this event, but I am even more pleased with the cause, which is reaching out to people who would not otherwise have access to medical care.”

The governor also praised the Joseph and Sinach Foundation for remembering to return home to make a difference in the lives of ordinary people.

“Our government is a government that has placed emphasis on health care delivery, which is why, in the last few weeks, we have undertaken to reform our state’s health care delivery system, starting from primary to secondary and all the way to tertiary health care delivery,” he said.

He noted that the Abia State University Teaching Hospital was underperforming and assured that the government would make it perform and play its role as a tertiary healthcare delivery institution.

The Governor promised to upgrade all of the state’s general hospitals, expressing delight that the private sector was pitching in to help the government.

Pastor Joseph Egbu, the convener, confirmed that the medical outreach was supported by Emzor Pharmaceuticals, which provided over 80% of the drugs as well as N1.58 million to pay the doctors and support staff.

“My wife is also a minister and an evangelist.” This is what God has asked of us. This is Christianity in its purest form. “This is our small contribution to society,” he explained.

Mrs Joyce Chidi Nwogu, coordinator of the Joseph and Sinach Foundation in Aba, described the event as a miraculous work of God.

“It is something God has already predicted,” she said. Pastor Joseph is a generous giver. He returned home last year and saw that his people needed free medical treatment, so he began dreaming about it, and now his dream has come true. We have over 700 registered participants, and by the grace of God, we will be able to attend to all of them.”

Sinach, a gospel singer, was recently appointed as the Commonwealth of Dominica’s global ambassador. She was supposed to rebrand and reposition Dominica as a top tourist and investment destination.
