The Oyo State Police command has debunked studies making the rounds that one Mr Adegbenjo of Neighborhood Excessive Faculty, Alabata in Akinyele Native Authorities Space of the state was kidnapped.
There have been studies that the secondary college instructor who resides with albinism was kidnapped by gunmen early hours of Wednesday.
Based on a web based platform, the event introduced panic to the neighborhood as residents feared that the kidnapping of the sufferer being an albino, is likely to be associated to kidnap for ritual objective.
Nevertheless, when contacted by reporter, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Adewale Osifeso mentioned no such incident occured within the state.
The PPRO advised our correspondent that “there isn’t any case of any abduction of Albino in Oyo. Individuals are simply elevating panic up and down”.
