Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has denied rumors that Chibuike Amaechi, the former minister of transportation, regrets his affiliation with the APC and is considering joining the PDP again.
Eze called the social media rumors “baseless” and a fiction by “mischief makers and media irritants” who wanted to damage Amaechi’s reputation in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Monday.
Eze said that Amaechi, a well-known member of the APC, is steadfast in his support of the party’s goals and objectives and has no plans to change them.

Longtime APC member and former Rivers State governor Amaechi was instrumental in the growth of the party in the South-South. Eze stressed that his allegiance has remained constant in spite of critics’ efforts to incite controversy.

Ordinarily, I wouldn’t have responded to this purposeful, yet another, fabricated false narrative by one anonymous paper tiger, who constantly falsely identifies himself as Mr. Ibe,” Eze stated.

But I can’t help but respond since these media attacks highlight Amaechi’s abilities as a visionary, team player, pragmatic political czar, and a formidable force in Nigeria’s real democratic administration and leadership.

For those of us in the Amaechi camp, individuals who spread these falsehoods in an attempt to disparage our principal are seen as people who are having difficulty overcoming the fear of the unknown.

“Amaechi’s adversaries have experienced sleepless nights, unfathomable terror, and tangible tension as a result of his quiet for over a year in the political landscape of our nation. You should not use lies to manipulate people or damage Amaechi’s reputation because you believe he could pose a threat in the run-up to the next political regime.

“Amaechi has been vocal about the troubling ineptitude and docile posture of the APC-led Federal Government over the hostile economic situation in the country, apparently reinforced by the administration’s thoughtless policies which have successfully driven Nigeria into its current hapless fate and have continued progressively, to commandeer the people deeper and deeper into abject poverty,” he continued.
