The Nigeria Police Force has reacted to a viral video showing one oof its men harassing a man at Emohua checkpoint, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, vowing to fish out the officers involved.

TNN reports that on Sunday, April 9, 2023, a video had gone viral on Twitter, showing a motorist being beaten up by a police officer while his female companion was being forced to sit at the back of their car by another officer.

This sparked a lot of reactions with tweeps calling on the Nigeria Police to ensure the officers are punished.

Reacting to the incident in a tweet on Sunday, the Force Public Relations Officers, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, condemned the act perpetrated by the officers.

Adejobi tweeted, “Quite unfortunate. I have asked the Rivers State Command to fish them out. This is unpolice, unethical, and condemned.”

“Whatever the man must have done, he doesn’t deserve this beating. Beating him like a baby?? A grown-up man? We will surely get the men.”
