The All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), over his allegation that President Bola Tinubu was unfairly given a skewed Supreme Court ruling regarding the 2023 presidential election.

In a statement made in Abuja, APC National Publicity Secretary Mr. Felix Morka stated that the law and the evidence win court cases more than popular opinion.

During his news conference, Obi once more accused our democratic institutions—especially the courts—of failing to grant him the victory.

“Because he is Peter Obi, not because he won the election or because he successfully argued his case in court as required by law.

He declared, “Obi’s greatest downfall throughout the electioneering season has been his gross inability to distinguish between his warped version of public opinion and reality. Such an arrogant sense of entitlement seems to pervade Obi’s vitriolic attack on our institutions.”

Morka went on, saying, “Obi’s biting criticism of the judiciary only demonstrates his conceit and haughtiness as someone who has previously profited from Supreme Court decisions on electoral-related issues.”

”The same court was a beacon of democracy when it ruled in favor of Obi and recognized him as the legitimately elected governor of Anambra; yet, the court has now betrayed democracy by ruling against him.

It’s not always about Obi; it’s about our nation.

“You failed on both counts; evidence and the law win court cases; public opinion does not.”

The APC, he continued, applauded Obi’s decision to continue in opposition politics, but he should do it in a responsible and adult manner. In NAN
