The Jigawa State Authorities has introduced a two-hour discount in working hours for civil servants through the 2024 Ramadan fasting interval.
A press release by the Head of Civil Service within the state, Muhammad Dagaceri, mentioned staff will now begin work at 9 am and conclude at 3 pm from Monday to Thursday, versus the same old 5 pm.
On Fridays, the working hours can be from 9 am to 1 pm.
Dagaceri mentioned the adjustment goals to supply civil servants extra time to organize for Ramadan and have interaction in religious actions through the holy month.
The Head of Service expressed hope that this gesture would encourage civil servants to wish for God’s steerage and blessings for the state.
