The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed that the three officers who were seen in a viral video punching an unidentified man have been located and detained.

CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the force’s public relations officer, announced this on his Twitter account in response to a tweet about the assault on Monday night.

“A family man being assaulted in front of his wife by police, this is sad @policeNg,” the tweeter captioned a video of a man being beaten and slapped by a police officer in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

“These men have been arrested, and their commander will personally bring them to the Force Headquarters tomorrow Tuesday for further actions,” Adejobi quoted and wrote in response to the tweet.

“They are three in number, attached to RRS, Rivers State. “Their action does not portray the police in a good light at all,” he added. Meanwhile, the Force PRO had earlier condemned the action of the policeman describing it as unfortunate He stressed, “I have asked the Rivers State Command to fish them out. “This is unpolice, unethical, and condemned. “Whatever the man must have done, he doesn’t deserve this beating. “Beating him like a baby?? A grown-up man? We will surely get the men.”
