On Wednesday, seven people barely escaped death when a Lexus RX 350 rammed into a stopped truck on the Lagos-Ibadan Motorway.

After the accident, which happened at around 1pm, emergency personnel swarmed the scene and hurried a driver who has not yet been identified to the hospital for prompt treatment.

Around 1pm, at the Otedola end of the motorway, the driver of the Lexus rammed into the stopped truck.

Babatunde Farinloye, the sector commander for the Federal Road Safety Corps in Lagos State, claimed that speeding was to blame for the collision, which involved seven people.

“The stationary vehicle developed a mechanical issue,” he said. The car that was approaching slammed into the car from behind. Both speeding and impatience were involved.

“There were seven people involved. Only the driver was hurt; there were five adults and two kids, but the car suffered significant damage. They were able to transport the victim to the hospital after we dispatched an ambulance there.

A combined team made up of representatives from the FRSC and the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority could be seen attempting to remove the vehicles from the road as the Lexus vehicle was wedged beneath the truck in the video that our correspondent was able to obtain.
