The administration of President Bola Tinubu, according to Vice-President Kashim Shettima, is dedicated to the welfare of the Nigerian Armed Forces, including the families of dead heroes.Shettima gave a speech on Tuesday night, just after being honored at the Presidential Villa with the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day symbol.
The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Stanley Nkwocha, made a statement on Wednesday that included this information.
The Vice President stated that the administration’s decision was made in recognition of the sacrifices made by military personnel to maintain international peace and Nigeria’s unity.
He also mentioned the valor displayed by Nigerian military troops in local and international crisis zones.
The 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day symbol was placed on the VP.
Sen. Kashim Shettima, the vice president, has reiterated the Tinubu administration’s dedication to the welfare of the Nigerian Armed Forces, particularly the families of dead heroes.
According to him, the administration’s decision was made in recognition of the sacrifices made by military personnel to maintain international peace and Nigeria’s unity.
The Vice President made this statement on Tuesday night, just after receiving the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day emblem at the Presidential Villa. He also mentioned the valor displayed by Nigerian military personnel in war zones within their own country as well as other countries in Africa.
Sen. Shettima declared, “We truly need to stand in solidarity with the families of our fallen heroes – those who gave their lives to establish peace in our nation and throughout the world, from the Congo to Liberia, Sierra Leone, and beyond.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who gave their all. It is our moral duty to assist them.

The annual Armed Forces Remembrance Day event is a solemn occasion dedicated to remembering the sacrifices of fallen heroes of the Nigerian Armed Forces, according to Maj. Gen. Abdulmalik Jibrin, National Chairman of the Nigerian Legion.
In addition, he asked Nigerians to never forget the families of the slain soldiers, especially by providing funds for their loved ones’ wellbeing through the Nigerian Legion.
Remember that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reaffirmed his government’s commitment to realigning the armed forces when he launched the Emblem Appeal for the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day in October.
