The administration of President Bola Tinubu is committed to reducing poverty in order to revitalise the economy, as Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed.

This was said by the vice president on Wednesday during the opening of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria’s (SMEDAN) corporate offices in Abuja.

He claims that in order to revitalise the economy, the Tinubu administration is deliberately concentrating on the creation of jobs, capital accessibility, economic growth, and the eradication of poverty.

Shettima declared that the federal government, led by President Tinubu, would never waver in its commitment to safeguarding the nation’s industries.

The vice president pointed out that businesses not only serve as a society’s cornerstone but also serve as a barometer of the government’s priorities and pace of change.

Permit me to underline how important this time is: it is the best opportunity to strengthen Nigerian businesses’ protection. These businesses serve as the cornerstone of our society and serve as a window into the direction and speed at which the government is moving.

“President Bola Tinubu’s pledge to safeguard our businesses is now firmly established. It has a strong resonance with our agenda for economic revitalization. His emphasis on eradicating poverty, fostering economic growth, facilitating capital access, and creating jobs serves as the foundation for our plan to stimulate the economy. This route inevitably necessitates difficult choices, but such choices are necessary for our success,” he stated.
