The Supreme Court has rejected an appeal filed by the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Umar Ardo, the party’s nominee for governor of Adamawa.

The candidate’s attorney implored the court to dismiss the lawsuit.

However, the appeal was later rejected by the John Okoro-led panel of five.

Remember that Ardo’s appeal contesting Ahmadu Fintiri’s victory had been denied by the tribunal and the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

Finitiri is currently battling the appeal that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Aishatu Dahiru, filed.

Dahiru is vying to be named the state’s governor.
