In connection with the alleged killing and organ harvesting of a man named Progress in the hamlet of Ogbaraye, Abua/Odual Local Government Area of the state, the Rivers State 43Command reported that its men detained three suspects.

This occurred just two weeks after a vigilante group known as OSPAC in Port Harcourt detained three people, two of whom were pastors, in connection with the death of a 24-year-old physically challenged man.

They were detained after it was claimed they killed the physically challenged man and took his organs.

According to a community source who went by the name Otuks on the most recent occurrence, Progress, an okada rider from the Aminigboko community, was transporting some products from Abua Central (Abua LGA) when the event occurred.
He claimed that an unnamed man who is thought to be a ritual killer hired a group of five young men to bring certain human parts in exchange for a mouthwatering offer.
They are drug boys, he said. A suspected ritualist went to them to make arrangements to obtain a tongue and a heart. The man promised them more than N2 million, according to what I heard.

So, an okada rider was the man who was slain. Around 11 o’clock at night, he was racing to deliver someone’s belongings from Central Abua to Amingboko.
“This incident occurred along the Emebu/Obrean border,” Otuks continued. They therefore executed the man and removed some of his organs. It took place on Friday evening. Although they escaped after perpetrating the crime, three of the suspects were later apprehended.

Grace Iringe-Koko, a spokeswoman for the state Police Command, verified the event and the arrest of the accused when called on Sunday night.

“Yes, I can confirm the incident,” she said. The three suspects who committed the crime have all been taken into custody. The State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department now has them.
