President Bola Tinubu has sought Senate’s affirmation for the appointment of Dr Ruby Onwudiwe, as a member of the Board of Administrators of the Central Financial institution of Nigeria, CBN.
Tinubu’s request is contained in a letter addressed to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpiabio and skim at plenary on Wednesday in Abuja.
Tinubu within the letter, stated the request for affirmation was in compliance with provisions of part 10, sub-section one of many Central Financial institution of Nigeria Institution Act 2007.
“I’m happy to current for affirmation by the Senate, the appointment of Dr Ruby Onwudiwe as a member of the CBN board of administrators.
“The Senate is invited to kindly word that Onwudiwe is a substitute for Mr Kalu Eke, as a result of unavailability of Eke for the place.
“It’s my hope, subsequently, that the senate will contemplate and make sure in its ordinary expeditious method, the appointment of Onwudiwe.
“Please settle for the assurances of my highest regards,” Tinubu stated.
