Why I don’t support IPOB’s sit-at-home — Uzor Kalu
Chief Whip of the Senate, Sen. Orji Kalu, has frowned at the sit-at-home order in the South-East ordered by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Kalu, who made this known during an interview with newsmen today in Abuja, said that the move is counter-productive.
According to him, billions of naira are being lost due to the self-imposed lockdown in the South-East.
“I don’t support this sit-at-home, because each day they do so, billions of naira is lost.
”Also, there are families that the only money they make is on a daily therefore any day they don’t make daily money, they don’t feed.
”So, in all honesty, I don’t think this is the right time for our people to do this because you cannot punish the same people you say you want to protect,’’ Kalu said.
