Bola Tinubu, the president, has shown leadership ability in his first 100 days in office, according to ex-minister of state for works Senator Dayo Adeyeye.

Adeyeye, the national coordinator of South-West Agenda for Asiwaju, a political organization that advocated for Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election, spoke on Tuesday at the distribution of bags of rice donated by SWAGA to residents in Osogbo, Osun State, to lessen the effects of the removal of fuel subsidies.

He claimed that before the presidential election, the organisation had advised Nigerians to vote for Tinubu because he held the qualities that the country needed in a leader to turn around its fortunes.

But he added that, after 100 days in government, there was no cause for sorrow and that, with Tinubu in charge, things will only get better down the road.

“Tinubu has shown incredible leadership ability in the last 100 days,” he remarked. Tinubu claimed in India that while Nigeria has human resources, we lack leadership. He has since come to offer himself as leadership.

“In the past 100 days, he entered the scene and declared an end to the payment of gasoline subsidies, which was a massive state-sponsored fraud that had the worst possible impact on Nigeria’s economy. He halted that. We can already see the effects of that. We can see how prosperous we have made other nations. This choice is luring in outside investment.

I think the improvements Asiwaju has implemented will continue to improve over the coming months.

Ayo Omidiran, a state chieftain for the All Progressives Congress, said that SWAGA decided to provide meals for the people of Osun in order to make them happy. He was commenting on the group’s choice to do so.

Omidiran added that those helped by the act were not just APC or SWAGA members because food was also given to others who were not even party members.
