Senate President Godswill Akpabio has been characterized as an adversary of democracy by a leader of the African Democratic Congress, or ADC.
This was stated by Okonkwo during an interview with Laolu Akande on “Inside Sources” on Sunday.
If the Senate President does not leave the position in an honorable manner, the lawyer added, he should be dismissed.

According to reports, a revision to Clause 60, sub-section 3 of the Electoral Amendment Bill that would have required the electronic transmission of election results was rejected by the Senate on Wednesday.
