The former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has been backed by Rotimi Amaechi, a leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), for his remarks regarding the eavesdropping of National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu’s phone conversations.
According to reports, after tapping Ribadu’s phone, El-Rufai acknowledged that he and others had listened in on his talks. This action has been widely criticized by the president and other sources.
El-Rufai does not have the ability to tap the NSA’s phone, Amaechi responded in an appearance on Eagle Media on Tuesday.
Call monitoring is the responsibility of the NSA’s office, he said, accusing Ribadu of working against the opposition parties and for his own gain in the run-up to 2027.
“I doubt that El-Rufai claimed he hacked NSA Nuhu Ribadu’s phone,” he remarked. This is not something he is capable of doing.
“The NSA office is the one taking our calls. Ribadu is busy making arrests. He has two elections planned.
In addition to Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, he is making plans for himself in 2031.
His only action is to organize parties to oppose the ADC. He has a fictitious ADC. He has a lot of ADC cases involving young guys for whom he has purchased cars, so just go to court.
“The man must get some rest. He’s wasting his time if he believes that adequate elections won’t take place in 2027. He ought to concentrate on his work in security.
